About

MI Carshare is a growing community-based Electric Vehicle (EV) carshare program operating in cities across Michigan.

Members have access to a network of cars 24/7 for $5 per hour and $60 per day (plus applicable taxes). Insurance is Included.

MI Carshare, launched with funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, was built in partnership with Forth, Mobility Development, The City of Grand Rapids, Michigan Clean Cities and Elevate Energy. The Michigan Department of Transportation awarded MI Carshare funding in 2026 to expand the program in the State.

MI Carshare delivers affordable and clean transportation with a focus on historically disinvested communities in need of more transportation options. MI Carshare is operated by Mobility Development.
